My husband and I took advantage of the Land and Sea adventure combining a day and night at Shearwater Cove with a sailing trip on board the M.S. Extraordinary. Shearwater Cove was as magical as their video shows. I loved our Yurt. We had a little rain upon our arrival but we were very snug and comfortable in our Yurt. The little kitchen was perfect for preparing the food we had brought and it was a lot of fun. In the afternoon the sun came out and the kayaking along the shore and to hat island was terrific. We saw bald eagles and salmon and we were out for hours. Jason and Charity were terrific hosts and their setup is great. I really felt immersed in the beauty of Alaska. Wow this was honestly one of my favorite places to stay in Alaska. I would highly recommend that everyone stays her for a once in a lifetime experience--do not miss out on this gem!!! You can kayak, experience nature, and be in complete peace...away from your phone and technology. This is the perfect place for an adventurer looking to try something extremely fun, different, and new but still comfortable and cozy. Amazing stay in the yurts! This was one of the best experiences we had in Alaska! The cove was secluded and absolutely beautiful! The yurts were warm and cozy and the beds were super comfortable. Kayaking was a blast-we were able to kayak to a beach, up a stream to a waterfall where the salmon were spawning, and around tons of beautiful shoreline! 5 star experience for sure! My stay with Jason and Charity was unforgettable. Together they have created an absolutely beautiful and truly unique place to experience and take in the magnificence of the Alaskan wilderness, forests and Resurrection Bay. The yurt was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated, cozy, and extremely comfortable (I loved the bed and the sheets! And the bathroom and shower were great with excellent hot water!) with fantastic views over the water and the trees. Jason and Charity have thought of every detail to make for the perfect stay. I completely enjoyed sitting by the rushing river, hiking up the mountain to see the views, reading in the yurt, watching the eagles, and spending time with Jason and Charity, listening to their story and experiences. They are the ultimate airbnb hosts. Thank you for everything, Jason and Charity! I hope that we stay in touch! We loved our stay at Shearwater Cove. It was everything we expected and more - a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure wrapped up in unsurpassed natural beauty. Jason and Charity were excellent hosts. Everything in the yurt was clean and cozy, and we really enjoyed learning about the area talking with Jason on our commute to and from Shearwater Cove.
