Always on time and a great safe boat! The BEST and ONLY was to go if your going to use a water taxi in Seward!! Excellent captain, extremely knowledgeable biologist, went out of his way to accommodate our requests at a very reasonable price (which would not have happened with other water taxi services)! He made our trip a once in a lifetime adventure - we will be back! We used Mako Water Taxi to get over to the bay for a 6 hour day adventure of hiking. The captain was on time getting us there and tried to find some whale spouts for us to see. The water taxi was suppose to pick the group up at 3:30pm and was over an hour late. We felt this was unacceptable. The captain was nice who picked us up, but didn't really give an explanation why they were so late. Louis is a great captain, very knowledgable and friendly. He has been in the area for 18 years so he is an expert! The boat is really nice and safe. Large area to stand on in the front on nice days and an enclosed, warm, comfy cabin for the cold and wet days! I would highly recommend this as a way to get off the beaten path when you visit Seward, AK. I had a lovely time out in Resurrection Bay, thanks to Captain Louie! He dropped us and our dogs off at the Caines Head North Beach. We were able to go for hikes and camp on the beach, then the next day we had a carefree hike back to Seward. Thanks Seward Water Taxi for making a great weekend possible!
