I wanted to cruise the Alaska coast, but I did not want the large impersonal cruise ship experience. The M.S. Extraordinary was the perfect fit. I took advantage of their land and sea package which included a day and night at Shearwater Cove before boarding the M.S. Extraordinary. This particular trip was just for me and my husband, but at 65 feet the M.S. Extraordinary would be perfect for two couples or a family. In fact I hope to return with my children to sail with them again. Jesse and Samantha tailored everything to our needs from the food to the on land adventures. As I wanted hiking to be a part of my visit. The sailing was amazing, the food provided by Samantha couldn't have been better and in addition my husband and I were able to kayak off the boat, go for a hike, and even swim! I am so happy I discovered this amazing boat and crew. I would recommend with no reservations. My family and I did a 10 day exploration of Prince William Sound on board the S/V Extraordinary. My two brothers and cousin had never been to Alaska and they were absolutely awestruck by the scenery and wildlife we encountered on this trip. We stayed in numerous bays and coves which gave us the opportunity to go to shore and explore at our own pace and destinations. The accommodations are very comfortable, nice sheets and blankets, lots of books to read through at night, hot shower at the end of every day, and more space then any boat I've been on before. Both Jesse and Samantha prepared meals for us everyday and with the large well equipped galley we were never without a great meal to come back to. The vessel has a grill, refrigeration and a freezer along with stove and oven and ample storage, so there is no compromise when it comes to meal preparation Jesse and Samantha are a great crew that will take you safely where you want to go, while engaged in interesting stories and great conversation, they will show you a great time around coastal Alaska.
