I was surprised at some of the previous ratings for this place. My family went during the busy dinner time after being on a fishing boat all day. We were exhausted and hungry and were seated immediately and our server, although he was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of people demanding his attention, made time for us and kindly answered all our questions. I have zero complaints. The best dish by far was the mac and cheese! Holy smokes it was amazing! Runner up was the burger, yum! Even the bartender was super nice and remade a drink for me. Not his fault, totally mine. I ordered an old fashioned vanilla and in my mind I thought it was an alcoholic vanilla soda (I was sleep deprived and not running on all cylinders). It was too strong for me and the bartender quickly turned it into a drink I could handle! Nice guy from the brundage ID area if I remember right. All around good experience! Great food, very fresh and innovative. Love the food for sure. Also the view is good, sometimes you can see wild otter swimming around outside. However, the price is a bit high given the place and proportion of food. You are looking at easily 45 dollar a person to start with here. Be aware. Very pricey. Needs a serious remodeling. There was some noisy ceiling heating fan running during our entire meal. Had the seafood chowder. Mostly potatoes. Disappointing. Suggest you go to Rays next door. Prices there are much less and decor is much nicer with better menu selections. Chinooks must be a tourist trap. Nothing very special about it. Service was fine, but nothing special. Food was fine but didn't suit my tastes. "Mashed potatoes" were really garlic mashed potatoes made with something sour (sour cream, Greek yogurt, buttermilk...I don't know) that I was not expecting and didn't care fora There are quite extensive selection of food. Expensive but mediocre quality and taste. Presentation was great but taste was honestly... quite bland. I ordered lamb sliders, the meat was lack of flavour. Cheviche was NOT cheviche-it was simply fail. The squid ink pasta was another mediocre.
