The train ride from Anchorage to Seward has some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. The Gold Star service on board was great it's definitely worth the price to upgrade. I didn't have to worry about meal or drink for the journey since everything was provided. The open air car is one of the main reasons to choose the gold star service. Being able to smell and feel the crisp Alaskan air for as long as you want was worth it for me. The food was much better than I anticipated and had a good selection. Taking the train is a must if you are looking to see some Alaskan scenery without the hassle of driving. Had a wonderful time on a trip to Seward, staff great. Good prices, let them do the driving and enjoy the scenery! Arr rocks! Wow! Enjoyed going from Anchorage to Seward and then the next week Anchorage to Denali. Great breakfast and lunch on the way to Denali. Be sure and sit in the dome seats. I took the coastal classic train to Seward from anchorage and back. And I loved the journey. Great for, narration and amazing well preserved views along the way. The train actually slows down when there are animal/bird sightings giving you enough time to click pictures. A must do in Alaska. What a great adventure with the family and made new friends along the trip. Danielle was amazing taking care of our family of 11 and went above her duties to make us comfortable. The staff in the Anchorage station were very helpful to get us tickets and accomodations for a large group and variety of ages. The views are breathtaking ‼️‼️ My only recommendation is to turn down the overhead speaker for those who want to visit instead of being drowned out from the tour guide. But the views‼️‼️
