The building is historic, but the rooms are up to date, very clean, good sized, with comfortable beds. The area is beyond gorgeous! Five minutes into the main part of Seward and the harbor. A great location! The Salmon Bake Restaurant just next door has wonderful food, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a great stay here. Super cute little lodge outside Seward. Great rooms and comfy bed (I may be biased because I spent the previous 5 nights camping!)! The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was a good start to the day. Restaurant next door was also really good. We stayed here as part of a tour group and was way pleasantly surprised. Rooms were well kept, desk staff was great, and everything surrounding the stay was excellent. There's a reason for the 5 star reviews. Very nice place to stay. Friendly staff answered all my questions and recommended places to visit on Seward. Clean rooms with awesome historical photos of Alaska and the region. Great place to stay. Built in 2009 the structure and interior were designed after a turn of the century(20th) frontier hotel. Rustic charm. Very clean and spacious. We stayed in the main building. There are cottages also. Very close to the Exit Glacier on the same road, 8 miles away. In the Seward area a must stay. The Salmon Bake resturant is right next door and is also a must stop. Good food large portions and ressonable.
