We dropped in for dinner on a Sunday evening and were really impressed! The crab bisque was incredible and the maple apple salad was great (I need the recipe for their homemade vinaigrette. It tasted a bit like honey mustard). Highly recommend!! Mediocre portions but excellent food. Fish and chips is just 2 pieces of fish. Halibut was amazing. Crab fritters a bit bland but good in sauce. Service was excellent. Food came out fresh and hot. This restaurant is two stars at best, which is very disappointing considering they boastfully say they're "leaving their mark on Seward dining." Case in point: my girlfriend ordered the grilled cheese and it was literally just two pieces of toasted bread with microwaved cheese in the middle. The cheese was barely melted! The crab balls I ordered were fine but nothing spectacular. The staff did very nicely comp part of the grilled cheese, but with a boast like that out front, you really need to do a better job all together, especially when there are better restaurants just steps away. Great food for a reasonable price in downtown Seward. We had the crab bisque, SLT, and the fish and chips with a mixed selection. The bisque was good, large chunks of real crab. DH and I really enjoyed the SLT, a Salmon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. The revelation for us was the fish and chips. The halibut was good quality, but the beer battered salmon! I was apprehensive at first but now I don't know if I ever want salmon any other way! It was very good. Also I loved the southwest pesto, I would order anything with that again. 1st place we ate in Seward. The staff was very friendly. It was more food than I expected but every bite delicious.
